Latest News from Australis

AustralisJan. 13th, 2012
Dear friends,
It’s been a long while since we sent the last newsletter last year. It was a year of experimentation with social networks and many things changed. We cancelled our membership on MySpace; we created a page on Google+; we enhanced our Facebook page with custom programmed applications (that are currently pending upgrade), etc, etc. Finally, as last year approached its end, things started to settle down in a better flow and now we have a better handle on all those tools and we can resume our monthly newsletters.
So, without further delay, here are our news! 🙂

New website (and domain)

We finally acquired the domain we wanted from the beginning back in 2004. It was a long wait but it finally became available. Although the new domain (australismusic.com) is now Australis’ official domain name; the old domain (australiscanticum.com) will remain valid, so you don’t need to update your bookmarks.
To celebrate our new official domain, we decided to completely revamp our website to make it faster, more structured and easier to navigate. The new website was launched on Jan. 1st and we want to kindly invite you to visit it.
By the way, the new Subscribers section provides you with a better system to download our music and our albums’ covers. Free, as always. Give it a try 🙂

Preparing a FREE Digital Sampler

As part of the preparations for our upcoming (fourth) album, we are in the process of compiling a digital sampler for free download.
This is the idea: Two tracks from each one of our three existing releases, plus two tracks from our upcoming album, will be selected to be included in the sampler. It will contain eight tracks, including two never previously released ones; in high quality MP3 format and including a custom cover in graphic format. This digital sampler of our music will be a nice introduction to our music to people who have never heard us before, and also a unique item for our fans, friends and listeners.
We are currently in the process of selecting two tracks from our first release, “Lifegiving”. It is not an easy task and we would love your help in deciding. You are cordially invited to visit “Lifegiving” on our website and send us your picks of two tracks for the sampler, via email or by leaving a comment on our Facebook page.
We deeply appreciate this opportunity to communicate directly with you. Just a few years ago artists could only communicate with their fans and audiences during concerts or TV/Radio appearances. News and updates came to the fans only through middle-men and intermediaries like magazines, advertisement, etc. Being able to talk with you directly and without any obstacles is something we value very much.
Thank you for your continuous support and friendship 🙂
Sincerely,
Australis
