DI.FM’s Christmas Chillout Marathon featured 17 different DJ’s from around the world including a few of my favorites featured here – Solarsoul, Reuben Halsey, MDB, W&D Project, Firmament and cammiloo. The marathon also introduced a newcomer – Seven24 who I will begin to feature on Arcadian Forest. I’ve also added his show to the radio show calendar. The first of his Ecliptic series is great and definitely worth the time for a listen. Seven24 (Yuri Semenyaga) was born the December 24 1981 in Donetsk. He always took a special interest in music and graduated from music school with piano specialization. He became interested in electronic music in the early 90’s, but it was nothing more than a hobby. His tastes were different and home collections enormous. With the advent of the legendary program GARAGE on “Europe plus” there was a great interest in Disco House/Funky House and mixing the music. Due to limited access to professional equipment he had mixing on cassette decks and reel tapes. In college Yuri played in a student group on drums and worked as DJ at a local nightclub. But the thought of writing his own music didn’t leave him. Only 10 years later, Yuri found his own style in which he would like to work on. Chillout music inspired him and he started studying and writing music in a sound editors. “Ecliptic” radio show – is immersed in an atmosphere of magical tunes! It opens up a world of great emotions, passions, thoughts, and makes you spiritually richer. Thanks to the music you’ll find the newest forces, unknown to you before this. You will see life in new shades and colors. This music braids you with the first sounds and helps to relax even the busiest and stressful man. It’s good to have a peaceful conversation and smoke a hookah, or just daydream with this kind of music. It helps you to forget all future worries. Wrapping in its gentle peaceful sound, it nevertheless serves as a background and complements an atmosphere of endless relaxation.
